AT&T Thread (Agency: POSSIBLE)
I crafted two articles for digital advertising agency POSSIBLE, on behalf of their client, AT&T. The articles were about the threat of cyber bullying: Pull the plug on cyberbullies, and on a more humorous note, how to function as productive member of society during the holidays when you're a sports addict: 4 holiday survival tips from a sports addict (74k views)

Blog like a pro Prezi
My Blog like a pro Prezi presentation was a real joy to create. While managing communications at the company I was working at, it became increasingly clear that some guidance for bloggers would be helpful to make their work more impactful for our internal audiences.
I leaned heavily on my years of marketing communications and business communications to create the copy for the
presentation. It was a perfect opportunity to coalesce a number of important communication principles in one presentation. The Prezi format was a real natural fit to add more fun, interactivity and a bit of whimsy to the copy,
which was designed to inform and entertain for maximum stickiness.
Colleagues described this Prezi as “amazing,” “enchanting” and “impressive.” I don't know about all that, but hey, I'll take it. Please check it out and see for yourself.

Philips marketing dashboard
The Philips Marketing Dashboard announcement was the culminating, final step of a months-long project I had the pleasure to lead. Our task was to capture the essential selling points of new product releases that were to be announced at the RSNA trade show. I coordinated with 10 business line leads to craft their messaging into scripts that they would record in their own voices. All scripts were carefully shaped and edited to meet our departmental, legal and regulatory requirements, while maintaining their focus on being useful tools for our sales personnel.
The fun part, for me, was the recording process, where I was able to utilize some long-dormant skills in audio recording (earlier in life I trained to be a recording engineer). At the studio, we brought in our performers (the authors of the scripts) and I directed/coached them through their vocal performances. We also hired a professional voiceover talent to add scripted intros and outros for each segment. As a bonus, the recording studio happened to be in the same building as my previous job with Seattle Weekly, so I was able to visit with some of my old workmates during down times.
Ultimately, we mastered 10 audio clips into a set of MP3 files and also printed a CD of the recordings. These were distributed to our sales force throughout North America for use during their study and/or travel time to customers.

Seattle Weekly music awards
During my time at Seattle Weekly as the Marketing and Promotions Manager, I led all promotional, artist, media, and venue-related endeavors for the 2005 Seattle Weekly Music Awards. I delivered all-time highs in ballots received and increased attendance at the Showcase and Awards Party events over prior years by an estimated 50%.
I and our design and production staff created many collateral pieces to support the events, online and print balloting, advertising, site signage and other promotional materials. The Seattle Weekly Music Awards T-shirt image is one of the designs I created as part of our array of promotional collateral, taking care to align it with the other designs created by our design and production team.
